Thursday's feature class in Sopot, the CSIO5* 1.50m Grand Prix qualifier PZU Prize, was won by  Jessica Springsteen (USA) on Volage du Val Henry (Quidam de Revel x Cassini I).

"Winning this competition today gives me some confidence for tomorrow. My horse jumped really great. It's the biggest class we have jumped together in a while. Volage improves more and more with every show and I think tomorrow it will be good," Springsteen said looking towards Friday's Grand Prix.

Second place went to Kevin Staut (FRA) on Vendome Vendome d’Anchat HDC (Diamant de Semilly x Alegreto), while Gudrun Patteet (BEL) riding Sea Coast Pebbles Z (Picasso x Flamenco de Semilly) finished third.

Earlier in the day the 1.45m Energa Group Prize saw Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) taking the top honours riding the 9-year-old mare Carlotta (Chaccomo x Cento).

Second place went to Polish young rider Adam Grzegorzewski and Okarino (Pavarotti van de Helle x Cassini II), who was best on behalf of the hosts. "I am very happy with this result. Especially since this is my first time at a five-star event. Okarino jumped really great, he is in very good shape. This is just a beggining but I hope that we will have such good results till the end of this show," said  Grzegorzewski.

Third in this class was Margie Goldstein-Engle (USA) riding Dicas (Diarado x Cassini I).
