21 foals with exquisite performance pedigrees comprise the collection of show jumping foals at the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction on 25 August at Vilhelmsborg, Aarhus.

During the past 25 years the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction has steadily grown into a substantial success; not only for the breeders who have achieved good prices for their foals but even more so for the customers who have purchased foals that have grown into talented and successful sport horses.

Danish Warmblood is widely known for breeding high-quality dressage horses that are among the best in the world, and most of the foreign customers on the Elite Foal Auction are looking for their future dressage start. Until now, only a few have discovered the outstanding quality of the Danish show jumping foals offered for sale on this auction. The auction committee is very proud to present the best collection of show jumping foals ever.

– We hope that foreign customers will discover the unique quality of the show jumping foals on this auction. The foals represent top performance dam lines in combination with international top stallions. The entire collection exudes quality at an international level that is rarely seen, says Casper Cassøe, general manager of Danish Warmblood.

Each of the foals derives from a strong and stable dam line, and all together they represent internationally sought-after bloodlines through their renowned sires such as Asca Z, Balou, Bently vd Heffinck, Bøgegaardens Apollo, Casall, Ci Ci Senjor Ask, Cicero Z van Paemel, Comme Il Faut, Comme Il Faut Plus, Cornet Obolensky, Der Senaat III, Favorit Ask, Glascow-W vh Merelsnet, Halifax van het Kluizebos, I'm Special de Muze, Quartz Ask, Rockland, Untouchable, Uriko, Vivant vd Heffinck, Zirocco Blue and Zuccero.

The high quality of the foals makes it hard to choose one over the others, but we have picked three radiant highlights – three colts with powerful presence og promising pedigrees:

This foal is a stallion prospect in a league of his own. He is a noble, well-built and very athletic colt with an outstanding canter. He carries some of the strongest show jumping bloodlines in his pedigree which displays Grand Prix jumpers in every generation. His sire is the Belgian stallion Halifax van het Kluizebos that won the 2017 FEI World Ranking for Show Jumpers. His dam is a full sister of two licensed stallions and a sister of nothing less than three Grand Prix show jumpers. The maternal side of the pedigree is reinforced by Ludger Beerbaums highly successful stallion Chaman and the iconic French top stallion Papillon Rouge.

Both parents of this magnificent and masculine colt foal have had a very successful career in show jumping. The internationally renowned sire Cicero Z van Paemel belonged to the Belgian team and had an international career under Dirk Demeersman. The dam Cleopatra won the Danish championship for 6-year-olds and achieved international placings before she was retired. Dam sire of this foal is the king of show jumping sires, Chacco-Blue who currently ranks No. 1 on the Rolex WBFSH ranking for most successful sires which means that his offspring have earned most points on the FEI rankings.
