The PalExpo in Geneva is ready to host the 64th edition of the CHI, and with the horses now in the stables, the excitement is really starting to build. Friday at 9 p.m. is when the traditional Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final is scheduled to take place. You can experience every moment of a competition that promises suspense and great sport from start to finish, even from afar, thanks to live streaming on the IJRC website.
We are now waiting for the chosen horses to be confirmed. Riders have until the eve of the competition to declare who will be their chosen partner for the challenge that will crown the 2025 champion. In interviews with the protagonists on the IJRC website in the run-up to the prestigious event, only one rider has already named his horse. That rider is Kent Farrington, number 1 in the FEI Ranking. He is a regular in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final. He has taken part in the competition eight times in the last eleven years. He has also won twice (in 2015 with Voyeur and in 2019 with Austria 2).
“I think I will be riding Toulayna the same horse as last year,” – says the American champion. - “I always look forward to Geneva. It’s an amazing show. All the best horses and riders gathered in one class... It is a strong competition and it is always my favourite. Geneva’s crowd is one of the best in the sport. They are knowledgeable about the sport and very supportive. I love it”.
In the 2025 edition of the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final, Kent Farrington will be joined by Scott Brash and Ben Maher for Great Britain, Richard Vogel and Christian Kukuk for Germany, Gilles Thomas for Belgium, Harrie Smolders for the Netherlands, Daniel Coyle for Ireland, Julien Epaillard for France and local favourite Steve Guerdat for Switzerland.
The CHI Geneva is an important annual event for the IJRC and its General Assembly, which will take place on Saturday morning, 13 December. As in previous years, the proceedings will be streamed on the IJRC website for those who wish to follow them.
