The second day of the international Baborówko Jumping Show brought spectacular competition across many classes from prestigious Longines Ranking events to challenges for young horses and amateur riders. More than 350 horses from over a dozen European countries competed in two arenas, while the audience could enjoy both top-class sport and the unique atmosphere of the event.
In the most important Saturday competition the CSI2* Big Tour, counting for the Longines Ranking (145 cm), sponsored by KUHN Maszyny Rolnicze and held under the patronage of the Polish Equestrian Federation victory went to Jarosław Skrzyczyński riding Balou H. Second place was claimed by Ireland’s Diarmuid Howley on Fina Va, and third by Greece’s Angelos Touloupis riding Lord Mexx. In the CSI2* Medium Tour (135 cm), sponsored by Agrochest, the best performance came from Krzysztof Ludwiczak riding Croslove. Second place once again went to Jarosław Skrzyczyński, this time aboard Casscador, while third place was taken by Marek Lewicki riding Quadis II.
In the CSIYH1* Youngster Tour for 6- and 7-year-old horses (125/130 cm), sponsored by Stadnina Kunowo, victory went to Szymon Stasiak riding Nobel Van Het Vinckenhof Z. Second place was taken by Latvia’s Nellija Anna Karklina on Chicco Van't Vossenhof Z, and third by Szymon Weremczuk riding Oslo JTL. The CSIYH1* Youngster Tour for 5-year-old horses (115 cm) saw another win for Szymon Stasiak, this time aboard Poli Poli. Second place went to Tomasz Zelek riding Campari, while third was once again claimed by Stasiak, this time riding Pepsi Special.
In the CSIV-B Big Tour (120 cm), the best score was achieved by Germany’s Paul-Heinz Meier riding Libelle. Second place went to his compatriot Peter Lorenz on Chaman, and third to Nicole Schafer riding Carlo Z.In the CSI1* Special Tour (110 cm), sponsored by Centrum Poznań, the winner was Ignacy Luboński riding Mariposa. Second place went to Anna Sala on Hamlet, and third to Monika Dominiak on Bridget Jones.
Saturday’s competitions provided an excellent preview of the thrilling finals awaiting both riders and spectators on Sunday. The best athletes will be fighting for valuable trophies, ranking points, and the admiration of the crowds, who flock to Baborówko to take part in this exceptional celebration of equestrian sport.
