The first foalauction of the season became a big succes for the HorseSales.Auction. From the 22 lots 21 found a new owner. Impressive numbers with an avarage price from €10.500. Topseller became Kiki van het Gerendal Z. She will leave for €25.000 to an Irish sportstable.
“An exciting and tense evening. With an overwhelming results”, co-organiser Chris de Heer says. However there was a lot of interest in the collection the real bids showed up in the last hour. The most exciting bid battle was between a German investor. And an irish sportstable who secured the Kassander van t Roosakker filly from the halfsister to Dourkan Hero for the sport carreer of a junior talent.
One of the most viewed foals, Valencia van de Keienlegger, leaves for 16.000 euro to Hongary. This Emerald from the full sister to GP winner Funky Music catches interest from Brazille, USA and Germany.
Its halfbrother Edison van het Reuknis Z went up to €15.000. This colt from the direct line of Calato leaves to a trading stable in the United Kingdom. Chayanne van de Vennen Z, a Conthargos mare from the halfsister to WC final winner Corbinian, stays for €12.500 in the Netherlands. While Harley VDL daughter Risolde leaves the border for €12.000 to Belgium.
Also the frozen embryo’s and ICSI free straws sold well. Top seller was the Baloubet du Rouet from the halfsister to Coldplay, number 8 at the WEG in Tryon, who leaves to the States. Emerald combined with former Belgium Champion Chloe van het Kapelhof Z was the runner up and will go to Germany.
