The schedule for September will be busy for the Fences Auctions team which will be working on three major fronts:
- The 25th Elite auction, which preparation is going well, will take place as usual, during the evenings of the “Grande Semaine de l’Elevage”. 110 representatives of the European elite of foals and 3 years old will be auctioned to become the successors of ITOT DU CHATEAU, KRAQUE BOOM, OHM DE PONTHUAL, and QUICKLY DE KREISKER… This anniversary edition will end up on Sunday with a Service Sale for the “Haras des M”, the “Haras de la Cour Bonnet” and the “Elevage de Vains”.
- The Selection Sales, which replaces the “Marché Fences” this year, will take place the next weekend in Bois le Roi, at the same time as the CSI in Barbizon. This Sale will gather 140 participants including some foals and ten or so cherry-picked mares. The number of 3 years old has been brought from almost 200 in 2012 back to almost 100 this year. This allows a higher selection in the chosen horses and it also takes into account the market.
- The Performers Sales. This Sale is the new adventure and the new challenge that the Fences Agency is launching. The Fences associates, helped by the Pompadour Agency and surrounded by a group of young professionals will start recruiting from 150 up to 200 young performers from 4 to 7 years old for CSO, CCE and dressage. This recruitment will start during the “Grande Semaine de l’Elevage” and it will go on until the end of September. The horses will be selected for their aptitude and their good quality/price ratio in a range going from a practical amateur horse up to the most talented horses in their generation with high level perspectives. They will be proposed starting from mid-October on the internet site of the Agency with an announced price and they will benefit from a large scale of services like the conformity guarantee, the mortality insurances, the credit, etc. They will be able to be bought with private agreement at all time and an auction will be organized beginning of March 2014 to help finalize transactions that will not have been completed successfully by then.
